It is always useful to have a normal CXR in your imaging library. Some of the measurements/numbers to remember are:
- Inspiratory effort: adequate if 8 - 10 posterior or 6 anterior ribs visible
- Right paratracheal stripe: < 4 mm
- Right descending pulmonary artery: < 17 mm
- Azygos vein: < 10 mm
- Heart size: < 50% thorax width
