Normal CXR

It is always useful to have a normal CXR in your imaging library. Some of the measurements/numbers to remember are:

• Inspiratory effort: adequate if 8 - 10 posterior or 6 anterior ribs visible
• Right paratracheal stripe: < 4 mm
• Right descending pulmonary artery: < 17 mm
• Azygos vein: < 10 mm
• Heart size: < 50% thorax width
